The Green ‘S’ marker represents an unused area owned by Southampton City Council who are looking at this land for further 5-a-side pitches to run a midweek league.
The Red ‘H’ markers represent playing fields owned by Hampshire County Council which have been unused for 20+ years. ‘Monks Brook Playing Fields’, top right, is the field that has been occupied by Travellers and has been shown to support football pitches with very little effort. Putting cows on these fields is not a good thing for a sports field.
